Licht en fris: ja. Fruit en kruiden: ook. Structuur en stevigheid: zeker! Met verfijnde rokerige tonen. Complex. Kan zo en bij bouillabaisse, vis van de barbecue, lamsbout, gegrilde paprika’s.

De bourgogne van de Mediterranée, zo typert eigenaar Marco de Grazia zijn verfijnde, mineralige Siciliaanse wijnen, afkomstig van hellingwijngaarden op de noordelijke flank van de vulkaan de Etna. De hoogte zorgt voor verkoeling en verfijning in de wijnen.

De biologische aanplant en de ambitie om topkwaliteit te maken dwingen Marco tot lage rendementen zodat de inheemse druiven een prachtige expressie hebben. De bijzondere rosé is gemaakt van de blauwgekleurde nerello mascalesedruif van de jongste wijnstokken, verzameld vanuit het hele – dertig hectaren tellende – domein.

De oogst is door de koelte op deze hoogte (600 tot 900 meter) pas in de eerste week van oktober. Na de oogst worden de druiven licht geperst, koel vergist en, na een korte rustperiode, gebotteld.

Proefnotitie

Fraaie bleke, zalmroze tint. Het ingetogen aroma is fijn fruitig en kruidig. De smaak zet vol, fris en krachtig in en heeft een lange, aangename en evenwichtige afdronk.

Drinken bij

Uitstekende maaltijdrosé: bij vis, pastaschotels of gevogelte.

Houdbaarheid

Op dronk in het jaar na de oogst, gemakkelijk tot vier jaar houdbaar.
