An attractive, delicate wine. Orange peel, cinnamon, kirsch, tea leaves and cedar give this mid-weight Barbaresco lovely aromatic presence to match its translucent feel. This is very nicely done.

Spiced cherries, dried raspberries, hints of of licorice and walnut on the nose. Medium-bodied, dry and chalky on the palate with firm tannins and a juicy core of fruit. Very attractive and flavorful.

Barbaresco en Barolo worden beide van de nebbiolodruif gemaakt. De wijngebieden liggen maar tien kilometer bij elkaar vandaan, maar er zijn flinke verschillen. De druiven in Barbaresco rijpen eerder, de wijnen iets korter en in zijn algemeenheid zijn Barbaresco’s eleganter, toegankelijker en sneller op dronk dan Barolo’s.

Rizzi maakt zo’n verfijnde, elegante stijl Barbaresco. Hij heeft mooie rijpe tannine en fraaie rijpingstonen van de nebbiolodruif, niet verstoord door eikengeur en -smaak.

Wijngaard Azienda Rizzi  Lekker bij pasta met paddestoelen

Deze complexe rode wijn toont zijn kwaliteit optimaal indien u hem één à twee uur van tevoren belucht in een karaf en bij een passend gerecht schenkt. Na voldoende rijping (gemiddeld na vijf à zes jaar na de oogst) smaakt de wijn zachter en is dan ook buiten de maaltijd om een traktatie.

Proefnotitie

Helderrood van kleur en verfijnd kruidig van geur, met florale nuances en gekonfijt rood fruit. De smaak zet rond en fris in en ontwikkelt zich aanhoudend met rijpe tannine.

Drinken bij

Elegante, smaakvolle rode wijn, mooi te combineren met verfijnde gerechten van wild of rundvlees.

Houdbaarheid

Decanteer een uur van te voren; houdbaar tot zeker tien jaar na de oogst.
