Bardolino – de sappige, fruitige rode wijn uit het gelijknamige gebied aan het Gardameer – dankt zijn wereldberoemde status in de eerste plaats aan het toerisme. Helaas krijgen toeristen ter plekke echter vaak een kwalitatief matige, dunne wijn geschonken.

Hoe anders is het gesteld met die van Monte del Frà! Geen simpele doordrinkwijn, maar een opvallend mooie rode met druif- en terroirexpressie.

Zeer bepalend voor de kwaliteit van deze Bardolino is dat de druiven (corvina, rondinella en molinara) later en dus rijper geoogst worden dan vroeger gebruikelijk was. Dit resulteert in fraaie fruitgeuren en meer zachtheid.

Ondanks het latere oogstmoment heeft de wijn toch een heerlijke frisheid en maar een bescheiden alcoholpercentage, wat ‘m makkelijk drinkbaar maakt. Zeker licht gekoeld is dit de ultieme rode zomerwijn!

Fruit, fruit en nog eens fruit! Een sappige rode wijn met fris rood fruit in de neus en een soepele smaakstructuur.

Drinken bij

Lichtjes gekoeld heerlijk bij salades, gegrilde visschotels of gewoon op een zomers terras.

Houdbaarheid

Nu drinken, houdbaar tot drie jaar na de oogst.
